Hey, I’m Coach Adheep.

I help first generation immigrant students growing up in the US write college essays that tell their real story.

A Bit About Me

After informally helping many immigrant students navigate the US college system — reviewing essays, sitting with the confusion, watching families struggle with the gap between expectation and voice — I decided to formalize what I'd been doing for years.

This practice is built on 20+ years of experience in social work, cross-cultural communication, and psychosocial support across Nepal, India, the US, and Europe. I hold an MSW from Columbia University. I know what selective institutions look for — and I understand the pressures immigrant students carry when they sit down to write.

I grew up between cultures too. I know what it feels like to hold two versions of yourself at once — the one your family sees, and the one quietly forming underneath. That's exactly the space we work in together.

My Approach

Conversation First

We don't start with writing. We start with talking. About your life, your family, your contradictions, the things you've never quite put into words. The essay comes after.

No Pressure, No Scripts

There's no right answer here. No story you're supposed to tell. This is a space to think out loud, question expectations, and figure out what you actually want to say.

The Conversation No AI Can Have

Use whatever tools help you write. But the essay that gets remembered is the one that feels lived in — specific, honest, and unmistakably yours. That doesn't come from a prompt. It comes from knowing your own story well enough to tell it.

Here's How It Goes
